So until then you're going to have to restart the game everytime. The only way to fix it is to close/open the game. Because FFXIV's sound engine is independent of the Windows Sound API, if you take out your headphones, speakers, etc. the game won't be able to fix its sound, as it's using a different device now.Control Panel -> Sound -> Find your device from the Playback tab -> Right click, select Configure Speakers -> Select the correct speaker configuration, test and finish the setup wizard.
